Serenova Re Appoints Stelian Dragan Chief Business Development Officer

Hamilton, Bermuda — December 8, 2025 – Serenova Re announced today that Stelian Dragan has joined the organization as Chief Business Development Officer, bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience in global reinsurance and financial services. In this role, Dragan will lead business development strategy, advance market partnerships, and support the company’s continued expansion across the reinsurance sector.

Dragan most recently served as President and CEO of Bermuda-based Oceanview Re (“OvRe”), where his direction and operational acumen helped to elevate their industry standing and deliver innovative reinsurance solutions. He joined OvRe as President and Chief Business Development Officer, and was a member of their board, as well as conflicts committee.

Prior to OvRe, Stelian spent nearly a decade with Athene Life Re (“Athene”) where he led marketing and business development. He was instrumental in securing landmark mandates with multibillion dollar reinsurance premiums, establishing Athene as leader of the flow offshore reinsurance market.
